S.V.D. have another upcoming live appearance in Canada:

  • Thursday, April 24, 2003 @ Steamers Public House in Victoria, B.C.

The band was also selected "Band of the Month" by a major Canadian radio network and are starting to get considerable airplay. Check out The Zone here.

As if all that weren't enough, S.V.D.'s debut album "Hope" has moved up to #6 in the DAC (German Alternative Charts). Congratulations!

u...have recently completed several concerts in Canada, leaving behind audiences entranced by the multimedia performance. When and if "good old Europe" will see the band on her soil is far from clear, but we're working on it.

"HOPE" is being heralded as the latest, greatest hope of industrial music as numerous magazines and websites shower praise upon the work of Steve Campbell: the album has entered the DAC Bullets and been crowned "Album of the Month" by Zillo Magazine, and in America S.V.D. are preparing for a minitour with labelmates Dismantled. And for those who haven't been paying attention...since 20 February we've been offering two S.V.D. tracks (one of which is otherwise unreleased) for download from www.dependent.de absolutely free! Make sure to check out the Dependent Records Forums for a chance to win a limited edition 5 track promo-only single from S.V.D. as well!

It's only fitting that our first release of the year should be an exceptionally strong one: the Canadian newcomer S.V.D. will release their debut album "HOPE" on February 24. While some tracks draw from their Vancouver heritage, reminiscent of "Canadian Old School" luminaries such as Numb and Skinny Puppy, the band's creativity and individuality shine unmistakably through. Led by painter Steve Campbell, S.V.D.'s first single "Big Bad City" is a sure-fire clubhit. Look for two free tracks available as downloads from www.dependent.de starting February 20.
